The 12-passenger M/S DIAMANTE is a brigantine schooner motor sailor; a modern, smaller version of the great naval training ships. The yacht Diamante first began her year ‘round cruise schedule in the Galapagos Islands in 1993. Since her inaugural Galapagos season, she has been totally remodeled and redecorated several times.
The M/S DIAMANTE is an excellent choice for families and small special interest groups who wish to charter their own Galapagos yacht and who seek a more personalized adventure cruise. Guests will enjoy the beauty and delightful sense of personal freedom while exploring these magnificent Equatorial islands onboard this unique motor-sailing yacht.
Her interior is tastefully decorated with beautiful teak and rich mahogany. The Sun Deck is a perfect spot for enjoying the warm Galapagos sun or to simply catch the ocean breezes as you cruise through Darwin’s biological paradise.
With a maximum capacity of 12 passengers, the M/S DIAMANTE boasts a total of six air-conditioned cabins with private bathrooms and hot showers; one cabin with two lower berths; two cabins with a single upper and two lower berths, and three cabins with one double lower and one single upper berth.
The M/S DIAMANTE allows you to get up close and personal with the astonishing world of Darwin’s “Enchanted Galapagos Islands”. A seasoned captain, a team of dedicated crew members and an experienced English-speaking naturalist guide attend to the details of your Galapagos cruise. The naturalist guide takes the passengers on all shore excursions and shares extensive insights into the islands’ diverse wildlife and flora. Small boats, locally called “pangas” (zodiacs), ferry passengers to shore for island visits.
The dining facilities onboard are very informal and accommodating to your needs. Service is always friendly with a smile! The chef prepares delicious Ecuadorian specialties, as well as international dishes.
With a sleek, elegant hull, stunning white sails and professional and friendly service of her dedicated crew and hand-picked naturalist guide, the M/S DIAMANTE is one of the best choices in her category for sailing in the Galapagos Islands.
