M/S Cachalote


	With its sail-boat lines, the 16-passenger, the ivory, steel-hulled, ketch-rigged M/S CACHALOTE (which means “sperm whale” in Spanish) was originally custom-designed and built in the Golden State of California, in 1971, with comfort and space in mind. The M/S CACHALOTE was brought to the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, in the late 1990s.

	The M/S CACHALOTE was refurbished and redecorated several times since she began her adventure cruise series in the Galapagos Islands. The last complete refurbishment to the M/S CACHALOTE was done in 2002, to provide the boat with an up-to-date appearance and to add to the boat’s numerous modern amenities available to guests that choose her for their Galapagos cruise explorations. Since 2002, other ongoing redecoration projects and maintenance job projects have been done, to keep the M/S CACHALOTE fit, comfortable and technologically safe, while cruising in the Galapagos waters.

	Boasting 8 double cabins, for 16 passengers, all of which with private bathrooms, hot water and closet areas, one of the most unique features of the M/S CACHALOTE is the spacious decks, to take in the refreshing Galapagos air, while on your 8-day/7-night Galapagos cruise itinerary.

	After exciting days of Galapagos’ guided wildlife and flora exploration, aquatic adventures, with opportunities for swimming, chances for snorkeling and friendly dolphins and whale watching during the island to island cruises, when the M/S CACHALOTE’s knowledgeable, multilingual, naturalist guides lead the yacht’s guests through the countless wonders of the Galapagos National Park.
